Thanima Plus Unniappakara makes nice and brown unniappams. Unniappams is another sweet dish from Kerala cuisine. These are deep fried in a mould which gives unique shape. Uniappakara is the mould you use for making unniappam. The batter for unnniappams is made from rice powder, maida( white flour), roasted coconut flakes, sesame seeds, banana, jaggery and water. The unniappa kara is filled half with oil in the little pits. Now pour the batter in each when oil is hot. Leave some space as this will rise as it gets fried. Pick them with a fork or long needle and turn them over. Now take off the unniappam from mould.
